My objective is to reach a juxtaposition of all artistic realms and bring them together in new and positive ways in order to expand minds, share knowledge, and celebrate all cultures. I continue to strive for new ways to combine visual art and installation, music, theater, dance and fashion.
My work is amalgamation of textures and media with hints of cultures found in the past, combined with cosmic designs of the future, using colors and designs reminiscent of the psychedelic sixties. This is my own taste, but thanks to years of formal training I can easily tailor to any specific style.
I graduated with a BA in Art from Northern Illinois University and have taken a huge variety of different courses from the traditional to the highly unconventional. I prefer to take my time and explore every artistic option that is available. I do not like to pigeonhole myself into any specific media of creative expression. I enjoy ceramics, printmaking, metalwork, enameling, painting, drawing, sculpture, fibers, and photography.
I work intuitively, passionately and directly from the heart, such as feet paintings where I dance to music and visually represent it and the people who create it. I’m continuously making collage-like fashion constructions and am coming up with new, custom designs everyday. The focus of my work is largely event-based. I work in the moment and love to create pieces and site-specific atmospheres for gatherings of many types. I enjoy live painting and collaborative pieces and will continue to expand these horizons well into the future.
Everyone deserves to be not only surrounded, but inspired by art. I am not satisfied with merely filling galleries with artwork, but integrating art with daily life. I seek to create unique art that is exciting and accessible and can be experienced by anyone and everyone.
